For women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, staying fit is extremely important. Exercise has been shown to reduce many of the discomforts of pregnancy, limit unnecessary weight gain, increase energy levels, and shorten labor and recovery time. When the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines are followed, exercise during pregnancy is safe and is encouraged for the health of the woman and her baby. My goal is to create a safe and effective exercise program that you can continue throughout your pregnancy. Nutritional counseling will be incorporated into your program to ensure optimal health.
In addition, in-home prenatal massage and doula services are offered to enhance your pregnancy and birth experience. And, coming soon, childbirth education will be an additional service provided to expectant mothers.
